Teresa Jia is a passionate and dedicated Physiotherapist who completed her Master of Physiotherapy at The University of Sydney, where she gained a broad foundation in health sciences including anatomy, physiology, and nutrition. Throughout her training she worked across diverse clinical settings including ICU, rehabilitation, paediatrics, general medical wards, and emergency, building a strong and well-rounded clinical background.

It was during her final placement that Teresa discovered her passion for hand therapy. Fascinated by the complexity of the upper limb and inspired by the life-changing impact of hand rehabilitation, she chose to focus her career in this specialised field.

At Action Rehab The Hands Physio, Teresa is dedicated to helping patients regain function and return to the activities that matter most, whether that’s work, sport, or everyday life. She has a particular interest in evidence-based practice, staying current with the latest hand therapy research and creating individualised rehabilitation programs tailored to each patient’s goals. Teresa is proficient in speaking Mandarin and Shanghainese.

Outside of work, Teresa enjoys Pilates, Barre, and spending time with friends. She brings her passion for Pilates into her practice, often incorporating its principles into upper limb strengthening and rehabilitation. Her goal is always to support people in overcoming their injuries and restoring confidence in their movement.
