Bachelor of Applied Science (Occupational therapy) (Honours)
Master of Teaching (Primary Education)
Tatyana Babic graduated from University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours), where her honours research focused on the hand and sensation, before completing a Master of Teaching (Primary) at University of Sydney.
During her career, Tatyana has worked with children in paediatrics and as a rehabilitation consultant, building a broad skill set across both health and education settings.
After transitioning into teaching and working as a primary school teacher, Tatyana realised she missed working in health and was drawn back to her passion for anatomy, particularly her interest in upper limb function which began during her study of anatomy at university.
Hand therapy has become Tatyana’s niche, driven by her fascination with how complex and intricate the body is – especially the hand and upper limb. She is passionate about the meaningful, functional impact rehabilitation can have on a person’s life and is motivated to help patients return to their pre-injury level, whether that be work, sport or daily activities that are important to them.
Tatyana enjoys staying up to date with the latest in hand therapy research and creating tailored rehabilitation programs to support each individual’s recovery.
Outside of work, you’ll find Tatyana at F45 Training classes or training for HYROX events. She also enjoys watching the Australian Open and supports the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs in the NRL.
Tatyana now dedicates her time to Action Rehab The Hands Physio, supporting people to overcome upper limb injuries and return to doing what they love.
