Elbow Therapy, also known as elbow rehabilitation, aims to restore function and reduce pain in the elbow joint. It is typically used to treat a range of conditions that affect the elbow, such as tennis elbow, golfer’s elbow, and dislocated elbow.
Therapy for the Elbow typically involves a combination of exercises, stretches, manual therapy, and other techniques designed to improve strength, flexibility, and range of motion in the elbow joint. The specific techniques used in the therapy will depend on the individual’s condition and their treatment goals.

A dislocated elbow occurs when the bones that make up the elbow joint are forced out of alignment resulting in immediate pain and joint distortion – typically when you land on an outstretched hand during a fall.
Tennis elbow is caused by overuse or repetitive strain on the forearm muscles and tendons that attach to the lateral epicondyle, which is the bony bump on the outer part of the elbow. When these tendons become inflamed or damaged, it can result in pain, weakness, and stiffness in the elbow, forearm, and wrist.
Golfer’s elbow results from overuse of the muscles that bend the wrist or by repetitively bending and straightening the elbow. It’s usually described by pain from the elbow to the wrist on the inside (medial side) of the elbow. The pain is traditionally caused by damage to the tendons that bend the wrist toward the palm.
